Tiger Woods’ win at Bayhill sent a clear message to the rest of the field that he’s back and large and in charge! Touting a brand new blonde girlfriend (completely un-releated… or is it??), Woods reclaimed his place as the World’s best Golfer. What does this victory mean for Woods by the numbers:

- This was Woods 8th title win At Bayhill, tying a PGA Tour record for the most wins in a single tournament. (Sam Snead won the Greater Greensboro Open eight time from 1938 to 1965)
- Woods’ win at Arnold Palmer’s Bayhill tied his own personal recorded for most wins at a single golf course. (He’s also won at Torrey Pines 8 times)
- Woods is currently the only player to win 3 tournaments this year (Farmers Insurance, WGC-Cadillac, Bayhill) and will be the fourth time in his career with three PGA Tour wins going into the Masters (2000, 2003, 2008). Woods didn’t win a jacket in any of those years but did go on to win a major in at least two of those years.

All eyes will be on McIlroy this week, who can reclaim the World’s number 1 spot with a win at the Houston Open. Woods overall seems like he’s in good shape going into Augusta, where he’ll be chasing his 15th career major to put him one close to Nicklaus’ record of 18.
